Chris works on a wide range of developments in London and across the country, specialising in major mixed-use, residential, commercial and life sciences redevelopment schemes. Chris advises on all aspects of planning law with particular experience in drafting and negotiating planning and highways agreements, and strategic and development management issues.

Prior to joining Town in 2021, Chris worked in local government for eight years, most recently for Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, with earlier experience at two green belt authorities. He was ranked in joint first place in Planning magazine’s planning law survey 2021, in the local authority planning lawyer category.

Advising on various projects including major mixed-use schemes (with differing primary uses including retail/leisure, office, and life sciences) including Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Sheffield; Broadway Connection, Ealing; Blossom Street, Shoreditch; and Botley Road, Oxford.

Hines
Advising on the major mixed-use redevelopment of 18 Blackfriars Road in Southwark.

Native Land
Advising on the redevelopment of Bankside Yards, the former Ludgate House and Sampson House sites in Southwark, to provide a new large mixed-use scheme.

London Borough of Islington
Advising on the regeneration of the former Holloway Prison site in Islington to provide a new affordable housing led estate.

Advising on life science redevelopments – Trinity House in Oxford; and Vitrum in Cambridge.
