Aline trained and qualified at Town, having previously been a senior planner at a local planning authority in Surrey. Aline brings her experience of plan-making and development management to the team and has recently advised on phasing, decision-making arrangements and engagement with local authorities, implementation, use classes, highways works and the Community Infrastructure Levy. She has experience in identifying grounds and making applications for judicial review and statutory review, advising on and preparing planning appeals, and negotiating section 106, section 278 and section 38 legal agreements. She has also been instructed to advise on the promotion of strategic sites through the local plan process. Aline is currently working on a number of claims for compensation arising from the compulsory purchase of clients’ land for various infrastructure projects. As a planner, Aline appeared as an expert witness in an appeal recovered by the Secretary of State. She maintains her chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
